Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Quilter Cheviot, Allspring, Others

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.
Quilter Cheviot
Quilter
Cheviot has hired an investment manager and two business
development managers for its London office. Kevin Adams is
joining as an investment manager from WH Ireland where he worked
for more than 23 years. Reporting to investment director Mats
Arthursson, he will be responsible for managing client
portfolios, working alongside former colleagues James Hughes and
Lawrence Cotton who joined Quilter Cheviot in 2019.
Paul Keogh and Mark Henderson have been appointed as business
development managers. Keogh is joining from Royal
London Asset Management. Based in London, he will cover the East
of England. Henderson, who is joining from
VitalityInvest, will be responsible for sales in London.
They will both report to head of distribution for Quilter
Cheviot, David Butler, and will focus on building relationships
with financial advisors and their clients. They will also promote
Quilter Cheviot’s discretionary wealth management
service.

East of England with this triple hire as we look to drive growth
in 2022 and beyond. We continue to see really strong demand for
discretionary wealth management from financial advisors and
clients alike and this is no more the case than in and around the
capital,” Andrew McGlone, chief executive at Quilter Cheviot,
said.
Allspring
Allspring
Global Investments, which oversees $575 billion in assets
under management, has appointed Matt Wren as chief technology
officer.
Wren is joining from Allspring from BlackRock, where he most
recently served as global head of investment technology. Wren
will report to Joe Sullivan, Allspring’s chair and chief
executive.
Before his role as investment tech head at BlackRock, Wren had
various leadership positions at BlackRock, Barclays Global
Investors, and Barclays Capital, spanning research, alpha
generation, trading, investment operations, and risk management.
Wren has spent more than 24 years in the industry and has been
based at different times in San Francisco, London, New York,
Singapore, Hong Kong and Auckland.
Artorius
UK wealth advisory firm Artorius has named Olivia
Bucher as wealth planner. She will join Jane Fowke and Kate
Thurman to provide wealth and financial planning advice to
Artorius’ clients.
Bucher, who has previously worked at Chadwicks Ltd, St James’ Place Wealth Management, and most recently as a financial planner at Mazars, has almost seven years’ experience in financial services. She holds an MSc in economics and is a Chartered MSCI.
Established in 2015, Artorius is based in Manchester and advises
clients across the UK. Artorius currently services £1.5 billion
($2.0 billion) in assets and is owned by management, employees,
and a small group of high net worth individual shareholders.
Tilney Smith & Williamson
Tilney
Smith & Williamson, the UK wealth management firm which is
rebranding to Evelyn Partners later this year, has named business
advisor John O’Callaghan as professional services managing
partner for Ireland.
O’Callaghan is joining from BDO where he has been a partner
since 2006. In his new role, he will lead the group’s top 10
professional services team in Ireland and focus on growing it
through organic growth, strategic hires and acquisitions.
