Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Evelyn Partners, Charles Stanley, Rathbones, Others

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.
Evelyn Partners
Evelyn
Partners has made three new appointments to its Leeds
and Newcastle offices.
The new hires also support Evelyn Partners’ "dual expert" proposition where clients are offered, where suitable, both financial planning and investment management services in-house and often at a local office.
Mark Carter has joined the Leeds office as a director in financial planning and Ross Bone has joined the Newcastle office as associate financial planner.
Carter (main picture) has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, with the last 10 as a senior wealth manager, and joins from aberdeen where he worked for five years, most recently as Financial Planning Director.
Bone (pictured below, left), who has 10 years’ experience in financial services, joins from Equilibrium Financial Planning where he worked for five years.
"Evelyn Partners is delighted to welcome Mark and Ross, not just because they will bring some great experience and capabilities to our Leeds and Newcastle financial planning teams but also because they fortify our already-significant regional presence in the North of England," managing partner David Smith, said. "Not only can we offer both financial planning and investment management services in-house, with an industry-leading “dual expert” approach that many of our clients – and prospective clients – are finding hugely beneficial. But also we can do this from regional offices where clients often build rewarding relationships with our professionals who are within reach for personal meetings."
The firm has also hired Gail Carr to join the investment management team in Newcastle. Carr (pictured below, right) is joining as a director from Rathbones where she worked for four years as an investment manager. She has 20 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked at Brewin Dolphin within both the portfolio and investment management areas of the business.
“Gail is a key appointment in our drive to build local investment advice capabilities for clients in the North,” managing partner David Rankin said. “Our expansion means we can offer not just top-class portfolio and investment management at a personal level to clients in the region – but also that our investment managers and financial planners can work together in the same regional offices to provide an industry-leading suite of in-house wealth management services.”
