Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management – WisdomTree, Praxis

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

WisdomTree
New York-based WisdomTree has appointed Carlos de Andrés, CFA, as director, Iberia sales, as part of its plans to expand the Iberia sales team.

Based in Madrid and reporting to Adrià Beso, head of Iberia distribution, de Andrés will focus on supporting WisdomTree’s sales and business development plans across Spain and Andorra. This includes strengthening existing relationships, distributing its range of exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded products, and broadening WisdomTree’s client base in the region with a focus on institutions and intermediaries, the firm said in a statement this week.

De Andrés, who has more than 15 years of experience in the asset management and banking industries, was previously at Allfunds Investment Solutions Sales team where he was responsible for the design and execution of the Iberian business development strategy. Prior to Allfunds, he spent over five years at DWS in a senior sales role covering private banking and institutional clients in Spain. He has also worked in a variety of roles at Deutsche Bank and CaixaBank (Banco de Valencia).

De Andrés is a professor of asset management at IE Business School in Madrid and a CFA Charterholder.

He has a strong network of contacts across the region and brings vast experience distributing investment products across intermediary and institutional client segments. Carlos is a high-calibre salesperson, and I am delighted that he has joined our team.”

Praxis
Global private wealth and corporate services group Praxis has appointed HR practitioner Grace Eames in the newly-developed role of group head of people.

She has a remit to transform the business’ talent acquisition and retention strategies, Praxis said in a statement yesterday. 

Based in the Isle of Man office, Eames has more than 25 years’ experience in human resources. She has held several senior operations posts, including working as a global HR director in a range of industries and as the executive head of HR at a private bank.
