WRISE Launches Corporate Finance, Advisory Arm

The new entity comes after WRISE bought a licensed financial advisory firm in Hong Kong which manages deals such as initial public offerings, privatisations and takeovers.
Singapore-headquartered WRISE Group has launched
a corporate finance and advisory firm for listed companies,
private and institutional clients. The new entity, whch is called
WRISE Capital, will operate from Hong Kong, serving clients
globally..
The Asia-based business has made the move after acquiring
Elstone Capital, a licensed financial advisory firm in Hong Kong
which manages deals such as IPOs, takeovers, privatisations
and listing transfers.
The new entity runs alongside the WRISE Private and WRISE
Prestige channels. (See a

WRISE said the launch allows it to capitalise on rapid growth in
Asia's dealmaking; strategic mergers and acquisitions have grown
20 per cent ($666 billion, in Asia alone), outperforming North
America (2 per cent) and Europe (9 per cent).
The new group is headed by Nicholas Cheng. Its capital team
will also include Alan Au-Yeung, chief strategic officer and
Fanny Lee, chief operating officer.
In March, WRISE launched its Shenzhen office and its WRISE
Academy in the Chinese city.
WRISE3, founded in July 2022 is a platform linked with financial partners including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, UBS and others.
In January last year, it opened an office in Dubai. In November 2023, it appointed Shigehiro Suzuki as market head of Japan. (This news service has interviewed Derrick Tan, chairman of WRISE Group, about the business and its strategy.)
