Newly-Branded Investment Society Names Chairman, New Fellows

Following hot on the heals of its recent name change, the CFA Society of the UK has chosed Joe Biernat as its new chairman. Mr Biernat is director of research at European Credit Management. He takes over from Colin McLean as chairman of the society which was previously known as UK Society of Investment Professionals. The society also announced the election of eight new fellows: Daniel Broby, Renaissance Investment Management, Alan Brown, Schroders, Elroy Dimson, professor of Investment Management and a faculty governor of London Business School, Nick Fitzpatrick, independent trustee at Bestrustees, Tony Good, Hermes Focus Asset Management, Barry Riley, columnist for Financial News and Money Observer, Yusuf Samad, Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow, and Lindsay Tomlinson, Barclays Global Investors.
