Sprott Asset Management, an investment management business run by Canadian investor Eric Sprott, is planning an initial public offering to raise about $198 million, according to media reports. The offer could start as soon as this week and would value the company at as much as C$1.5 billion ($1.47 billion). The firm manages about C$6 billion for institutional and individual clients.
