The asset management arm of Germany's Allianz Group has boosted its fixed income capabilities.
Allianz Global Investors has appointed Kacper Brzezniak as a junior portfolio manager within its fixed income team in London.
Brzezniak worked as a global fixed income trader at the Royal Bank of Scotland before spending three years as an interest rate derivatives and FX options trader at the National Bank of Fujairah in Dubai. He takes on the newly-created role having just completed an MBA at Yale
Based in London, he will report to Mike Riddell, manager of the £71.5 million ($94.9 million) Allianz Strategic Bond Fund, which invests in fixed income across credit, inflation, duration and currencies.
“Kacper joins us with a highly relevant portfolio of global fixed income experience. Joining us just a few weeks after we launched our new, cutting edge Strategic Bond Fund, he starts at a really exciting time for our fixed income business in the UK,” said Riddell.
“I am sure Kacper will be a great asset to the team, as we can continue to build out our fixed income capability in London.”
The firm manages more than €435 billion ($481 billion) of assets for individuals, families and institutions worldwide.
