The firm will offer enhanced services related to passporting - a key concern for financial services firm's as the UK's prepares to divorce the European Union.

Ogier, the law firm, has launched a new range of private wealth and insurance services in Luxembourg, headed up by Eva Gyori-Toursel who joined as counsel.

The move will see Ogier, which has offices across Europe and Asia, expand its investment funds, corporate and finance services in the landlocked country, the firm said earlier this week in a statement.

“Our private client team continues to grow, with Eva’s arrival following lateral partner hires in Jersey and Guernsey and the recruitment of Wisdom Hon in Hong Kong in the last 12 months, all in response to continued growth in instructions and activity,” Sally Edwards, partner, said. “The addition of the Luxembourg capacity is a clear differentiator, and we are pleased to welcome Eva to our international team.”

The new offering includes insurance setup and contracts, portfolio assignments, regulatory assessments and passporting, while the private wealth side focuses on wealth and estate planning, matrimonial regimes, successions and relocation services.
