International Law Firm Expands Luxembourg Footprint

The firm will offer enhanced services related to passporting - a key concern for financial services firm's as the UK's prepares to divorce the European Union.
Ogier, the law firm, has
launched a new range of private wealth and insurance services in
Luxembourg, headed up by Eva Gyori-Toursel who joined as
counsel.
The move will see Ogier, which has offices across Europe and
Asia, expand its investment funds, corporate and finance services
in the landlocked country, the firm said earlier this
week in a statement.
“Our private client team continues to grow, with Eva’s arrival
following lateral partner hires in Jersey and Guernsey and the
recruitment of Wisdom Hon in Hong Kong in the last 12 months, all
in response to continued growth in instructions and activity,”
Sally Edwards, partner, said. “The addition of the Luxembourg
capacity is a clear differentiator, and we are pleased to welcome
Eva to our international team.”
The new offering includes insurance setup and contracts,
portfolio assignments, regulatory assessments and passporting,
while the private wealth side focuses on wealth and estate
planning, matrimonial regimes, successions and relocation
services.
