Citi Private Bank Appoints Asia Family Office Advisory Head
The appointment represents a return to Citi Private Bank for the senior figure, who had spent a stint at Union Bancaire Privée in Singapore.
A former employee of Citi Private
Bank has returned to the US bank to take on a senior Asian
role, this publication can confirm.
Faye Ong has been named head of family office advisory – Asia,
and is based in Singapore.
Ong has has worked in the private banking business for over 16
years with particular expertise and experience in servicing
ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices across
Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
She started her wealth planning career at Citi Private Bank in
2005. Prior to returning to Citi, Ong was the head of wealth
planning, South Asia at Union Bancaire Privée and its senior
family office advisor in Singapore as part of the family office
services Switzerland business, based in Zurich. In this role, Ong
created Singapore family offices for clients in Asia using the
Economic Development Board GIP Family Office option and the
Monetary Authority of Singapore section 13X and R tax exemptions.
She also initiated the Variable Capital Company structure for
clients with a DPM portfolio on UBP’s platform.
Ong graduated with a bachelor of laws, LLB (Hons) from the
University of London, Kings College, UK and from University of
California, Berkeley with a post- graduate degree in
international trade and commerce. She sits on the board for the
Centre of Fathering in Singapore.
