Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News – SimCorp, Accelex

The latest technology developments, product launches and business developments in and around the world's wealth management sector.
UK-based investment data and analytics firm Accelex and Denmark-listed
tech firm SimCorp have
partnered to provide solutions for investors in alternative
assets such as private equity and hedge funds.
There are already joint clients in Europe and North America, the
firms said.
The businesses say their resources help investors manage the
chore of digesting complex documents.
Such partnerships come at a time when interest in alternative
investments continues to grow in the global wealth management
sector because they offer superior returns. Typically less liquid
than listed equities and government bonds, alternative
investments can be harder to monitor for performance and
returns.
“The collaboration between our firms makes so much sense.
Sophisticated alternative investors are striving to rid their
firms of labour intensive, manual processes and focus their time
on making a difference to the investment process itself,” Michael
Aldridge, president at Accelex, said. “Being able to effectively
digitise the workflow from unstructured documents into SimCorp
gives our clients huge advantages in operational efficiency as
well as a better understanding of the drivers of investment
performance.”
