Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management – Quilter Cheviot

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Quilter Cheviot
Quilter Cheviot has appointed Oswald Oduntan as a new investment manager.

Oduntan (pictured) will work in the Quilter Cheviot Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) team, led by Simon Doherty, head of MPS, and Antony Webb, deputy head of MPS. He will help run Quilter Cheviot’s ‘Building Blocks’ range of funds, as well as contribute to constructing the MPS strategies.

Oduntan joins from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he worked as a fund manager assistant, responsible for equity research and building and developing tools to support portfolio construction, asset allocation and performance.

Oduntan’s hire builds upon other recent appointments to the Managed Portfolio Service team in recent months. Darragh Moore joined the team last year as a trainee investment manager, while Harriet Meade was appointed as an investment administrator in February.

Webb said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Oswald to Quilter Cheviot. He has developed a good understanding of equity portfolio management in his previous role, and I think he can help bring this knowledge to the way we run the Building Block funds within the Managed Portfolio Service.

“We are constantly looking for new and fresh ways to enhance the value we give to advisors and their clients. Bringing Oswald on board helps to bolster our capabilities in this regard and we are excited to see what he brings to the table.”

Oduntan added: “I am pleased to be joining Quilter Cheviot, a key pioneer in creating the model portfolio structure that has become integral to the way advisors operate today. I’m looking forward to working closely with advisors and helping guide their clients in what can only be described as an uncertain time in the global economy.”
