Lombard Odier Appoints New Middle East-Focused Markets Region Head

This news service understands that the change is taking place as the predecessor steps down for another role at the bank after a stint of 17 years.
Lombard Odier
has appointed former UBS senior figure Ali Janoudi as its new
markets region head, responsible for pursuing the bank’s growth
strategy in the Middle East in particular.
The move comes as Arnaud Leclerc, who has built the Swiss firm’s
presence and client base in the Middle-East for the past 17
years, has decided to hand over his managerial responsibilities.
Leclerc will take on a new position focusing on serving key
clients and supporting the region, this news service has
learned.
Janoudi, who will be taking up the post with effect from 1 April
2024, will join the private clients executive committee and
report to Frédéric Rochat, managing partner at the
Geneva-headquartered private bank.
With experience gained working in New York, Paris and
Switzerland, Janoudi most recently worked at UBS, serving in
various leadership roles for 13 years, including head of Central
and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and most recently as
group head of Middle East and Africa.
