Amati Global Investors Appoints Chairman

Scotland's Amati Global Investors, which was launched in January of this year, has appointed James Ferguson as chairman in a bid to position itself for further expansion.

Ferguson is currently chairman of several trusts including The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust and Northern 3 VCT. He additionally serves as a director of The Independent Investment Trust and Audax Properties, as well as being trustee of Lloyds TSB Foundation. Formerly he was chairman of Stewart Ivory and deputy chairman of the Association of Investment Trust Companies.

Amati was founded by Dr Paul Jourdan and Douglas Lawson and is based in Edinburgh.
