The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners has launched a new qualification for accounting and tax specialists in England and Wales aimed at giving them a broad understanding of the legal principles and practices underlying trust vehicles.

Designed for those who wish to ameliorate their knowledge base with a specialist diploma focusing on private clients, completion of the new qualification will allow practitioners to apply for full STEP membership.

The first exam for the new qualification will take place on 13 June next year, but those wishing to enter will have to enrol by 4 February.
