Carmignac Gestion Adds To UK Presence

French asset manager Carmignac Gestion has appointed Nick Casey to its UK sales team, continuing a raft of recent hires.
Casey, who previously worked at Aviva for 22 years, will report to Matthew Wright, head of country – UK, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
The company said it has “long-term” commitment to the UK market, after having opened a London office in 2012 and recruiting a sales team of five people. “Over the last three years, 76 new staff have been hired across Europe to support Carmignac Gestion’s growth,” it said.
In a separate announcement yesterday, the firm said it has bolstered its fixed income team in Paris, adding credit analyst Pierre Verlé, effective from next week.
That hire brings the team headed by Rose Ouahba to six. Verlé will work directly under Keith Ney, head of credit at Carmignac Gestion, contributing to the running of the firm’s four fixed income funds (Carmignac Global Bond, Carmignac Sécurité, Carmignac Capital Plus and Carmignac Court Terme), as well as to the fixed income portfolio of its Carmignac Patrimoine and Carmignac Emerging Patrimoine vehicle.
