Legal & General Investment Management, the European asset management firm, has bolstered its emerging markets unit with a senior hire.

Horace Hung joins as senior credit analyst for emerging markets, responsible for independently conducting research into holdings and potential holdings within assigned sectors in Asia-Pacific and other emerging markets.

Hung moves from Manulife Asset Management (Asia) where he was senior director of credit, in charge of high-yield credit research in the region. He brings almost 15 years of industry experience to his new role.

LGIM opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong in July 2013, as part of a global expansion drive. The Asia-Pacific office is headed by Alan Flynn. The company manages some $670 billion in assets for more than 3,300 clients worldwide as of 31 March 2013.
