French Bank Names New Head Of Distribution In Hong Kong, China


BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the independent asset management business of French banking giant BNP Paribas, continues to grow in Asia with the appointment of a new head for its Hong Kong and China distribution arm.

Kylie Chan assumed the role of head of distribution for Hong Kong and China effective 9 September 2013. Leading the Hong Kong team, she will be working closely with banks, private banks and insurance companies to strengthen the firm's presence in the region.

Chan has been part of BNPP IP since 2007 and prior that served as an investment consultant at Citibank. She brings over 14 years of financial services experience to her new role. She replaces Carol Wong, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

BNP Paribas IP has been operating in Asia-Pacific since 1004, with local asset management companies in ten locations. It manages some €42 billion ($56 billion) of assets in the region as at 30 June 2013.
